I know it looks like I am hopping on the gravy train right after the Seahawks won Super Bowl LX, but I did in fact start up a short lived YouTube channel called Mitch, Hawks and Co on Youtube. After a few episodes, I realized I wanted to take a different creative direction and start up this site months later after a wild last few months. I hope to re-visit at some point after hopefully getting this up and going.
Growing up in the PNW and living in Seattle area over the last few years, the Seahawks were my first true love and watching each game season in and season out. Also a massive fan of the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Kraken and my beloved WSU Cougars, nothing quite matches my fandom like this team. In my younger years watching the Mike Holmgren, Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander led Seahawks to the Pete Carroll, LOB, Beast Mode and Russell Wilson led Hawks in my teens and early adulthood to the Mike Macdonald and the Dark Side led Hawks now, I cannot imagine being a number one fan of any other franchise. Being witness to the Hawks making their first Super Bowl in 2005 to Super Bowl XL, Seahawks smoking the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII, heartbreak of Super Bowl XLIX to the redemption of beating the Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX, and all the years in between, it has been a crazy ride over the years.
The reason I wanted to start this up, after consuming all the Hawks games and other NFL games over the decades. In addition to following voices like Colin Cowherd and John Middlekauff, to You-tubers like UrinatingTree, FivePoints Vids, Brandon Perna (That’s Good Sports), Tom Grossi (Packast) and “Scooter” Cameron Magruder. I felt inspired to create some content of my own. Also many friendships where sports are a huge part in it.
I am excited to get this going and where this leads. Stay tuned for what is to come. Sharing my insights about the Seahawks, NFL and things I find interesting that you may not care about.
Yes this page is a nod to Mike Macdonald’s We Did Not Care slogan after beating the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game. Sorry not sorry Rams fans.
